Myrol
a mother daugther duo. Fusion Country - Roots
After extensive tours of Europe, New Zealand and Australia, Joanne & Haley MYROL (pronounced “my roll”) have decided to make music their livelihood together! They have united as a mother/daughter duo called ‘MYROL’ - embracing a special sound that only family harmonies can create.

Joanne is no stranger to the business, either. She has been a professional musician for years, performing with or opening gigs for the likes of Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Sawyer Brown, Sammy Kershaw, Valdy, Corb Lund, Colin Linden and touring with Fred J. Eaglesmith. In regard to their musicianship, songwriting and their talent for entertaining, the most difficult thing to do is to place a label on MYROL. The best description so far was made at the Canadian Juno’s when they were described as “Fusion Country”. There is a taste of many musical genres in their material – which enables their music to be appealing to nearly all audiences.

Haley Myrol was hit hard by the music bug, and rightfully so! She was raised in the music business. ‘Some of my first memories ever, are lying in bed, night after night, listening as a small child, while mom’s band practiced – drums and all - in the basement right below my bedroom. It was my loud, country lullaby.’

Joanne said it best, ‘Music that sounds good, feels good and that’s what we are giving our audiences.’ They are influenced by traditional country; roots; bluegrass; folk; blues, and throw in a rocky edge to some songs. They make their own music and go where it takes them, making them a favorite among those who are seeking a refreshing sound. Audiences also embrace Joanne and Haley as a mother and daughter, for it is evident on stage that there is magic in their relationship. Something people love to watch and most age groups can relate to… a spirit and energy that is obviously real; something that can’t be invented.
